Are you eligible to vote in Seanad Elections? You may be if:
- You are an Irish citizen
- You are over the age of 18
- You have received a degree from one of the Universities of Ireland
In order to vote, you must also be registered as an elector. Graduates of eligible universities must return completed registration forms by 26th February to be listed in their respective Seanad Éireann registers, which are published on 1st June.
You can request a registration form as an NUI graduate here, and as a Trinity graduate here. Forms can be posted or scanned via email.
The recent 8th Amendment campaign placed NUI and Trinity Senators in the spotlight and showed the importance of using your vote to make sure your views are represented in our upper house. Make sure that you are in a position to use yours by registering by 26th February!
