Following the excitement at Educate Together being awarded patronage to run the new primary school to cover Killester, Raheny and Clontarf, many parents have expressed concerns regarding its proposed temporary location.
The Department of Education is looking to locate the school in Sutton until a permanent building can be found in the catchment area. The impact that location has on parents’ decision where to send their children is major and, given the size of the area, clarity is urgently needed.
If you have concerns and would like to discuss this further, join myself, Senator Aodhán Ó Ríordáin and Cllr Jane Horgan-Jones on the 16th April in Olive’s Room, Red Stables, St. Anne’s Park at 8pm for a meeting on the subject.
