Apologies for the wordy post, but what follows is information pertaining to the revision of a permitted planning permission application for ‘Build To Rent’ (explanation on page 26) apartments developed by Midgard Construction Limited at the former Columban Missionary site (now known as Trinity Grange), The Hole in the Wall Road and R139 Road, Donaghmede.

Proposal: Planning permission for revisions to a previously permitted mixed-use residential development (previously granted under Reg. Ref. 2854/17; ABP Ref. PL29N.249368) to now provide for a ‘Build To Rent’ scheme. The proposed revisions shall consist of:
a) an increase of 77 apartments to now provide for a total of 280 residential units (comprising of 147 1 bedroom units; and 133 2 bedroom units) within the 4 blocks and increase in the heights of previously permitted Block A from 5 storeys (part 4 storey) to 6 storeys (part 4 storeys), Block C from 5 storeys to 6 storeys and Block D from 5 storeys to 8 storeys (part 6 and 7 storeys); the area of Block B shall also be increased;
b) The proposed development shall now comprise the following:
Block A – 6 storey (Part 4 storey) block comprising of 85 residential units (48 1 bedroom units and 37 2 bedroom units) with balconies/terraces on the north, east, south and west elevations.
Block B – 5 storey apartments block comprising 58 residential units (29 1 bedroom units and 29 2 bedroom units) with balconies/terraces on the north, east , south and west elevations. Block B will also comprise the 1 concierge office; 1 community room; and 1 childcare facility with ancillary outdoor play area, all of which will be at ground floor level;
Block C – 6 storey apartment block comprising 30 residential units (6 1 bedroom units and 24 2 bedroom units) with balconies/terraces on the north and south elevations.
Block D – 8 storey (part 6 and 7 storey) apartment block comprising 107 residential units (64 1 bedroom units and 43 2 bedroom units) with balconies/terraces on the north, east, south and west elevations;
c) associated elevation changes to Blocks A, B, C and D;
d) provision of additional amenity facilities including children’s play and recreational area at basement level;
e) reduction in basement level car parking spaces from 249 spaces to 151 spaces;
f) increase in basement level bicycle parking spaces from 212 spaces to 348 spaces;
g) provision of new plant areas and refuse storage at basement level; and,
h) all associated engineering and site development works necessary to facilitate the development
